    Coronavirus (COVID-19) Real Estate Precautions

    Updated Dec 30, 2020

While Coronavirus (COVID-19) is impacting global, national, and local communities, Path & Post is committed to keeping our team members and clients safe and healthy.

Can I buy or sell real estate despite any government restrictions in this pandemic?

Yes. Real estate is considered an essential business activity and we will continue to provide services.

There are many circumstances where clients must carry on with the search for a new home or the sale of an existing home. It’s our responsibility to take extra precautions while continuing to provide the excellent service our clients deserve.

We recommend our team members and clients follow the most up-to-date CDC guidelines to slow the spread of Covid-19.

Path & Post will not be hosting any Open Houses during this Covid-19 outbreak due to the inherent health risks of indoor gatherings and inability to control the number of guests at any given time.

20+ Years Of Tech-Savvy Leadership Helps Us Navigate Better

We’ve been paperless, mobile, and tech-savvy for years.

For Sellers: Our digital marketing strategy ensures our listings get optimal attention from buyers online, using drone aerial photography, teaser videos for Coming Soon homes, 3-D Zillow Walk Thru tours, professional photography and excellent copy editing.

For Buyers: We offer both in person and video showings for our buyer clients, whether homes are listed by Path & Post or any other brokerage.

Path & Post advises our Agents to take the following precautions:

    • Do not meet with clients if you or a family member are sick
    • Wear a mask or face covering to reduce the risk of social spread
    • Carry a bottle of hand sanitizer, disinfectant wipes & tissues at all times
    • Wipe the handle before & after opening a door
    • Disinfect regularly used surfaces often (mobile phone, keyboards, etc…)
    • Avoid shaking hands or physical contact, maintain six feet separation
    • Avoid touching your own face (use tissues & dispose of asap)
    • Offer virtual meetings & video showings when relevant

Path & Post advises our Sellers to take the following precautions:

    • Ask us to put your listing on hold if you or a family member are sick
    • Disinfect surfaces like doorknobs, tables, and handrails regularly
    • Increase ventilation in indoor spaces and use the maximum MERV rated filter allowed for your HVAC
    • Leave all lights on so buyers don’t touch light switches
    • Leave interior doors open so buyers don’t have to use door knobs
    • Leave for showings

Path & Post advises our Buyers to take the following precautions:

    • Do not tour homes if you or a family member are sick
    • Limit 2 people per showing
    • Wear a mask or face covering to reduce the risk of social spread
    • Carry a bottle of hand sanitizer, disinfectant wipes & tissues at all times
    • Maintain safe distances staying six feet away from others throughout the tour
    • Ask for a video showing* if you are unable to tour homes in person

It goes without saying at this point, but everyone should wash your hands often and thoroughly, and follow CDC health and safety guidelines.

*Path & Post offers video showings to our buyer clients who are unable to view homes in person.
