Cherokee’s Renaissance in Education

Cherokee County, GA is home to one of the premier school districts in the State of Georgia and the Nation. There was a time when this statement could not have been farther from the truth. The school district chronicles where it was 15 years ago and where it is today in it’s latest release of Cherokee County School District’s “Renaissance in Education” publication.

Petruzielo, Superintendent of Schools. Parents, members of the community, and potential new residents are encouraged to review this comprehensive report on the status of CCSD educational system.

Some of the CCSD’s achievements are:

– District SAT scores are 69 points above the national average and 115 points above the state average.

– The district attracts the best teachers with a very competitive starting salary of $41,915 and all are deemed “Highly Qualified”

– Every school has wireless technology, computer labs and interactive whiteboards in classrooms.
